It can turn a summer-weight vest into a spring/fall jacket, or it can render a base layer, arm warmers, and a light shell into the functional equivalent of a winter weather barrier, eliminating the need for dedicated jerseys, shells, and insulated jackets to cover every conceivable iteration of weather and temperature across all four seasons. It also stows in a pocket—like the purpose-built sleeve on the johDah Winter Jacket—so you can even set out with it in reserve and only pull it on when needed.
